Lakers trade: Demar DeRozan Malik Beasley Jalen Smith Bkn 21 1st Bos 23 2nd LAL 24 2nd
Pelicans trade: Anthony Davis (25%) Cedi Osman Aaron Holiday
I accept. First I’ll say trading AD especially in a cats league is not for the faint of heart. But the reality is I can’t count on him this season as the Lakers will want him healthy for the real playoffs, and I would lose him or Beal for nothing if I keep them both past the trade deadline unless I totally overhaul my team. Now Beal sitting the end of the season is also a real possibility but I’m just not gonna think about that.
I like Beasley and his dream contract, and DeRozan still does DeRozan things plus hits 3’s too. I believe this improves my team this year and also gives me nice future assets. If we were still talking on proboards this deal never would have happened, thank goodness for whatsapp. Pleasure working with LAL!

I accept. I had to cover the hole in the paint and AD is the best and most versatile option(and a risky one of course). My goal was to get him without giving away Brown and the youngsters and I managed it. Malik and his dream contract(one of the best around the league) and a top 13 draft pick will be missed but you have to give sth valuable in return to secure a player of such caliber. I hope that we will see the healthy version of AD as from next year. I also got some much needed space in order to sign my 2 draft picks and a free agent. Cedi will be waived immly and the penalty will be fully paid this year(you know the cliche of the league). Thank you NOP for the endless negotiation(it was really fun!).
