So after a year without fantasy playoffs we are back to the point where every DNP matters and we have some very interesting matchups coming up this week, while the China Flu, the generation “rest” and the fantasy gods have made sure to keep us entertained and eliminate any hope of a team getting the title of the “clean favorite”.
One thing is for sure, no one can predict a clean sweep in any of the series and who knows what happens in the next few weeks!! Enjoy!
NUGGETS - SPURS
Sure, Denver clinched the 1st place in the regular season and cruised all along with The Joker delivering a fantasy season for the ages but who cares when Jamal Murray is lost for the season, Zach Lavine is out cause he probably banged a hoe with corona, Bam and Jerami Grant are resting and shit while Fred VanVleet only has 2 games this week...
Chicago owned Denver in the last week of the regular season but was unfortunately eliminated, panic time or time for a fantasy stud like Drew Eubanks to show up?? (WAT?)
It’s now or never for San Antonio who has absolutely zero business in the playoffs but decided that he wants to be in the playoffs and
this matchup already looks like an upset is brewing so my guess is that fantasy gods decide whether they need to punish Denver even more for having half the league hate him (sorry buddy it’s just fantasy nothing personal)
Projection: Nuggets survive the scare with a 6-3 win
PELICANS - HAWKS
The most interesting matchup hands down and another potential upset brewing as New Orleans is the gold standard for how to build a contender in a salary dynasty league but has been decimated by injuries...
Atlanta meanwhile has PG and Capela playing like All-Stars and John Collins back to action while the absence of Donovan Mitchell gives a hell of a boost to Jordan freakin Clarkson...and what about Kevin Love back from the dead? Momentum all over and Atlanta..shawty
Projection: This one goes down to the wire and it’s a 5 - 4 either way
WOLVES - CLIPPERS
This is on the other hand the matchup with the least excitement as on one hand you got a well-run organization that features fantasy MVP candidates Steph Curry and Joel Embiid and on the other hand a rebuilding squad that has no reason whatsoever to be in the playoffs..add to that the fact that Siakam is playing in just 2 games this week so this should be a fast ceremony.
Of course, no one can ignore another parameter, the fact that the manager of the Clippers is a well-known member of the JVA, the infamous Jamaican Voodoo Association that will knock on your door just when you have to play Clippers in a fantasy matchup. Don’t be surprised if Steph and Embiid get ruled out all of sudden this week, the JVA is just looking for donations and some more cash...
Projection: A WOLVES massacre (7-2 or 8-1) as long as the JVA doesn’t show up!
BUCKS - JAZZ
A very cool matchup with two of the most active and WTF teams of the league. The numbers say that Milwaukee has a slight advantage but with LeBron and Richaun nursing and Giannis, Ben Simmons and The Timelord questionable to play in all games this week this could turn up to be a good series. Utah is creeping in the playoffs even though it’s clearly a rebuilding squad but who can blame our Jazz? It’s totally like the NBA Utah Jazz of this season; it’s a great story and shit but they ain’t winning any rings or something right??
Projection: BUCKS 6 - 3 or 5 - 4
