The committee is applying a $3m fine to the Bulls that will be applied to the next year’s salary cap for violation of the anti-tanking policy which requires that teams have a minimum of 20 games every week.
Although we are giving Chicago the benefit of the doubt this situation could have easily been avoided and we want to make sure that we have a zero tolerance policy for constitution violations.
We are never happy to drop these fines and we want to make it clear that we always reserve the right to fully enforce the removal of draft picks as a punishment for tanking violators.
